FORMER Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has married a woman thought to be his long-term girlfriend in a secret ceremony in Senegal.
Al-Nassr star Mane, 31, is preparing to captain Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast this month.
But just days before their campaign gets underway, the ex-Bayern Munich man has tied the knot with Aisha Tamba.
It was originally reported that his new bride was 18 years old, but there are claims on social media that she is 26
According to Business Day, the couple married in a mosque in Keur Massar on Sunday - located in Dakar, Senegal's capital.
The pair are from the same area of Senegal.
Photos of the wedding were shared on Instagram and received more than 85,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
A video was also shared of the pair sat together as they posed for photos.
The wedding comes after Pulse Sports reported that Mane opened a new stadium in his home town of Bambali earlier this month.
Mane did not disclose any personal relationships during his six-year spell at Liverpool.
It was rumoured he had been dating Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy.
However, neither confirmed this to be true.
Back in 2022, Mane discussed the kind of person he was looking for as a partner.
He told Tribune: "I've seen a lot of girls asking me why I am not married, but sorry you might be wasting your time. The woman I marry will not be on social networks.
"I want to marry a woman who respects God and prays well. Everyone has their own way of making their choice of love."
Aisha has no presence on social media.
Meanwhile, Mane's Senegal begin the defence of their Africa Cup of Nations title against Gabon on Monday.
He joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr last summer after just 12 months with Bayern Munich.
But his most prolific spell came at Liverpool where he scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists in 269 games.
He helped Jurgen Klopp's men to win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Club World Cup.
