Marcus Rashford left himself open to the ire of certain Manchester United supporters after a public message to Jadon Sancho following his loan transfer back to Borussia Dortmund
Not everyone at Old Trafford holds hard feelings toward Jadon Sancho following his exit.
The England winger finally got his lifeline this month after leaving Manchester United for a return to Borussia Dortmund on loan. And one might forgive certain members of Erik ten Hag's squad for looking down on the manner in which he went about his business while being frozen out by the manager this season.
But Marcus Rashford seemingly isn't one of those after the academy graduate became the first of United's players to publicly show support for his compatriot since his exit was confirmed. Sancho, 23, has already trained with the Black and Yellows and was seen kissing the crest of the club, where he scored 50 goals and recorded 64 assists in 137 appearances.
And it wasn't long before his fellow footballers queued up to show their love for the fallen star as he was seen with a smile back on his face. Among those displaying support on an Instagram post of Sancho training were Manchester City star Erling Haaland, Tottenham forward Richarlison and Ajax captain Steven Bergwijn.
However, Rashford was the first among United players to comment on the post, replying with a love heart and the word: "Yesirrrrr." That was enough to draw an aggressive response from some United supporters, who would have presumably preferred to see Sancho left out in the cold by those still at Old Trafford.

"He can follow him through the door," wrote one social media in response, seemingly not impressed with Rashford's performances this season, either. Another replied: "Couldn't sleep worrying about Rashford's comment on Sancho's Instagram. We really need to discuss this most pressing issue plaguing the club and its high standards..
And the comments got even more personal, with one spectator typing: "I see Rashford has engaged in a Baby Sancho online a** kissing exercise. Read the the room son. The vast majority of United fans see through your mate like glass."
Sancho deleted all previous posts on his Instagram account to make way for a fresh start following his return to the Bundesliga. And provided he gets the rebirth he's been hoping for in Germany, he'll have at least one comrade back in Manchester watching with eager eyes.
