Margot Robbie is every inch the doting daughter as she visits her mother on the Gold Coast and surprises her with gifts

Margot Robbie looked every inch the doting daughter on Saturday afternoon.

The Barbie star, 33, who was in Australia for the AACTA Awards ceremony in QLD, could not wipe the smile off her face as she visited her mother Sarie Kessler's property on the Gold Coast.

Robbie looked effortlessly chic on the day in a classic white singlet paired with a  beige skirt.

The Dalby-born star wore her blonde locks styled with a gentle beach wave and showcased her natural beauty by going makeup free for the outing.

She carried her belongings in a classic black handbag, slung over her shoulder.

Margot had her hands full with a bouquet of flowers and a pink gift bag and looked excited as she made her way towards the front door to greet her beloved mum.

Margot was later spotted leaving the property with a coffee cup in her hand and looked focused as she made her way to a waiting vehicle.

Robbie is one of four siblings, with her younger brother Cameron, 29, also appearing on the soap opera which gave Margo her big break, Neighbours.

She's one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to her role in the 2023 blockbuster Barbie movie.

And Robbie could hardly contain herself as she received a unique tribute to the box office hit while attending the AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast on Saturday.

The blonde beauty was gifted a special packet of Barbie-themed Tim Tam chocolate biscuits as she made her way down the red carpet.

'This is wild, I'm gonna keep this forever,' a wide-eyed Margot gushed.

But the complimentary treats weren't so popular with Spanish actress Elsa Pataky.

The 46-year-old politely declined a reporter at the event who offered her one of the delicious biscuits from the brand, which was an official AACTAs sponsor.

She waved the sugary treats away with a smile before turning her attention towards members of the press.
