President Florentino Perez refused to discuss Real Madrid's pursuit of Kylian Mbappe after the Spanish Super Cup win over Barcelona.
Vinicius Jr scored a first-half hat-trick in a 4-1 victory as Carlo Ancelotti's claimed a first trophy of the season in Riyadh on Sunday.
And Perez did not want speculation over Mbappe to detract from their success.
'I'm happy because the fans are delighted to have seen a good game. Vinicius was phenomenal, that's why he's one of the best in the world', he told Marca.
'It's not the day to talk about Mbappe, it's the day to congratulate the players we have, not those other teams have.'
Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement over a deal
President Florentino Perez refused to discuss Real Madrid's pursuit of Mbappe
Mbappe will join Real Madrid next season after reportedly reaching an agreement with Los Blancos earlier in this month.
The last two summers have seen both Mbappe and Real Madrid involved in transfer sagas, with all things seemingly pointing towards a stunning move on both occasions. However, Real were left red-faced on both occasions.
Therefore, Real Madrid were eager to avoid a third defeat when discussing a potential transfer with Mbappe - who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
According to Foot Mercato, Mbappe reached an agreement with Real Madrid a few days ago and committed his future to the LaLiga giants after refusing to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain .
However, reports are stating that the financial package on offer from the Spanish giants is lower than those that were presented to the 25-year-old superstar during negotiations in 2022.

With six months remaining on his PSG contract, Mbappe was free to speak with overseas clubs
Mbappe was free to negotiate with other clubs from January 1 as he had officially entered into the last six months of his PSG contract. Therefore, Real Madrid began negotiating with the 25-year-old soon after.
However, a report in Le Parisien felt as though Liverpool represented 'the most credible and dangerous candidate' for PSG - who obviously wanted him to extend his stay with them.
Le Parisien went on to suggest that Liverpool regarded Mbappe as the kind of statement signing they needed to keep pace with Manchester City in the years to come.
Mbappe's transfer saga took another twist when the 25-year-old's mother Fayza Lamari became his agent again. She was said to be taking a hands on approach with any negotiations going on behind the scenes.
Back in October, Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Lamari was no longer representing her son because of FIFA's new regulations for agents. But, the regulations have since 'relaxed' allowing her to take control of her Mbappe once again.
Mbappe does have a contractual option to extend his stay at PSG until 2025, a clause only he can activate. However, it appears Real Madrid is the more enticing option for the young star.
A freshly renovated Santiago Bernabeu is part of the club's international posturing to position themselves ahead of nouveau riche Saudi Arabian and Qatari-owned clubs - as well as being its own income driver.
