She lost out on both the female acting Oscars after giving stellar performances in Jojo Rabbit and Marriage Story.

But Scarlett Johansson still looked every bit a winner as she slayed the red carpet at the Vanity Fair after-party on Sunday night where she showed off her eye-catching bird tattoo across her rib cage.

The critically-acclaimed actress, 35, slipped in to a crystal embellished bandeau and shimmering silver gown for the event at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

A cut out of the unique outfit showed off her toned physique and quirky inkings.

The Lost in Translation star wore her blonde locks in a chignon with a few strands falling down to frame her perfect features.

She accessorized with statement diamond earrings and kept her possessions in a bejeweled box purse.

Johansson and Jost have been dating since May 2017, and confirmed their engagement in 2019.

The loved-up pair shared a wide smile and a laugh as they got close on the event's red carpet.

For the star-studded Academy Awards ceremony earlier at the Dolby Theatre, Scarlett dressed in a showstopping Oscar de la Renta gown.

She showed off her ample cleavage in the strapless low-cut dress that also revealed her large upper back tattoo.

The gown hugged her curves as it fell to the floor and fanned out in a train behind her.

She was competing in the best actress category for Marriage Story and in the best supporting actress category for JoJo Rabbit.

But facing stiff competition from Marriage Story co-star Laura Dern for Best Supporting, and Renee Zellweger for Best Actress, she came away empty-handed.

There was no animosity between the co-stars however, with Scarlett and Laura enjoying a lovely moment together following her win.
