Scarlett Johansson was the bell of the ball on Thursday night, as she picked out a youthful party dress for an awards ceremony.
Honoured by the Gene Siskel Film Center, Scarlett was invited to collect the 2016 Renaissance Award at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
And for her rare red carpet appearance, the stunner turned out in a powder blue dress with a plunging neckline and a frilly drop waist.

The eye-catching waist detail was boned to highlight to her tiny waist, while the skirt featured pretty vintage ruffles.
She bolstered the Eighties-inspired image with strappy black heels that featured a peep toe detail and a sling-back design.
With a deep V-neckline, Scarlett's arms were left bare, drawing particular attention to her distinctive sunrise arm tattoo on her left side.

Along with her edgy tattoo, Scarlett's soft and girly image benefitted from her fashion-forward slicked back pixie crop on the night.
Attendees were invited to the hotel by benefit co-chairs Marlene Iglitzen and Ellen Kollar to 'Celebrate Scarlett'.
After collecting her trophy, she was invited to the stage with Richard Roeper, film columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times for a candid discussion of her career.

This year Scarlett had massive hits with Captain America: Civil War, which made $404.3 million, and The Jungle Book, which earned $358.4 million.
Her solo appearances do not fare quite as well at the box office as her Marvel turns however, with her 2014 vehicle Lucy raking in a relatively paltry $126.7 million.
